    VirtualDub "Save as AVI.." Settings

    hi

I saved my movie to an AVI file and it was taking soooo much time, then I aborted it, and in the "savo to folder.." the file (with something like 10 minutes of movie) had 3.3GB, i was like OMG! So I was wondering if anyone could tell my where do I change the settings and wich settings do I put so that I can get a movie like those from the web.. between 600-800MB..

Under the video menu, select direct stream copy and see if there's any difference in the result.

Before saving as AVI, you need to designate the type of digital compression you want to use on this. If you want a movie that will look like internet downloads, and be around 600-700MB, then you could use either the DivX or Xvid codecs. There are forums here on how to use both of them, along with some useful guides.
