Hi

I am converting an avi files to an mpeg file but I would like to know
the measurements of conversion. How many MBs of avi will equal 700MBs
of mpeg or vise versa.

This would depend on whether you are converting to compliant mpeg1/2. The bitrate will determine your final size. d/l and use a bitrate calculator. You can d/l one from here or www.dvdrhelp.com
