    Error Joining two avi files...

    Hello !

When I want to append a file to another, i've this message :
"Cannot append segment "filename.avi": The video streams have different sampling rates (25.00019 vs 25.00006)".

    I use virtual dub 1.5.10.

Does anybody could help me please ?

In Virtual Dub, Use the "Attach Video Segment", set both Video and Audio to "Direct Stream Copy" and Save AVI. Did you try this, and can you ingore the message?

No i can't ignore the message : it's an error message...

I captured my two files with Adobe Premiere and i never had any problems before. So i have 2 dvsd video encoded files. When i try to append them in Virtual Dub, i have the message described on the first post.

So i tried to compress the 2 files with DivX codec so that it defines a good framerate. But i have the same problem with the divx encoded files...

Is it an error coming from Virtual Dub (25.0016 is equivalent to 25.0009... no ?)

If anybody has an idea ?

      Thanks

[solved] Error joining two avi files

Ok in fact i found a solution...

I first saved each file again with a new framerate (25.000) and then appending is possible.

        Bye
