    TMPGEnc problem

    hi

    Probalby a codec problem, I tried to encode an AVI to mpeg to make a DVd but when I selected the file to convert, Tmpgenc told me something like unsuported format or something, I had this prob with 3-4 AVI's
    Wich codecs should I download?

    strangley i was just about to right a new post, as i have the same problem. I Get the unsupported file error message too.

    I downloaded a trial version of tmpgenc dvd author from here

    We create the best video software encoder, DVD/Blu-ray/AVCHD authoring software, and MPEG lossless editing software.


    and did it that way. worked ok but took 5 hours to convert the file!

      Always a good first stage for files that don't appear to be recognised:
      Load into G Spot or VirtualDubMod and post here what 'file information' reveals.
      This isn't a learning curve ... this is b****y mountaineering!
