Mpeg4 running badly off CD

Hi

I am desperately trying to publish a 5 minute video presentation to CD using MS mpeg4v2 but playback has been really jumpy, and my reputation is on the line.

I am using premiere to generate the mpeg4 at frame size 720x576 25fps, datarate of 4000kps selected with about 50 for smoothness. This plays fine on my computer but is badly jerky on the clients laptop CD and off the hard drive.

Are there any rule of thumb settings I can use to overcome this problem as it is ruining 400 hours of 3D work I have just completed.

Is there a better codec for high quality CD video playback.

Maybe your reputation needs to take a hit.

4000? You know, it takes maybe 30 min of reaserch to know that thats just wrong.

Also, a little light should of gone over your head discribeing to you that 4000 is not something a slower CD drive or hard drives like to handle, especially with a slower CPU.

Try 1500.
