Gordian Knot's log files

I saw a post asking about Gordian Knot giving a log-not-found error when doing a compression test, but no reply for the help. I, too, am having the same problem. It's trying to find a log inside the Gordian Knot installation directory for some reason.

As a result, I don't want to waste 10 hours encoding a movie only to have it screw up due to no log file. What do you think? Should I just go for it?

I just did an encode and after the first pass it complains it cannot find vdenc.log in the folder where the vob and avi files are created, and I can't even find a log file by that name myself, either.

I sort of installed a newer GK into the same folder as the older GK - would that cause the problem?
