avi audio to wav error

I'm trying to convert a divx file to vcd. When I run it through tmpgenc, it says "error when audio was decoded." Usually when this happens i rip the divx audio to wav with vdub and use that as the source. But when i try to do this one, it goes almost all the way and then says "File 64: The parameter is incorrect." Anyone know what this means or how i can fix it?

Can you play back the wav in media player? If not then the file is somehow corrupted.
