    Old School Retail divx disks?

I just recieved an old divx disk that I guess used to be popular before dvds made it big. It is a 4.1 gig movie that says Divx all over it. Is there anything I can do/use to get this to play or on to DVD?

    No.

The "Divx" that you refer to is a long-ago Circuit City self-destructing DVD.

You can feel free to use it as a doorstop or a coaster...

I heard that way back in the days, some MIT students actually cracked the Divx scheme a long time ago. Now that DivX has taken over the search engines, I can't fint it anymore.
