    DivX at 24fps and 15fps

I have had all sorts of problems with a divX 4.12 encoded video. It seems that the video will play perfectly in sync in Windows Media Player at 24 fps - but the DivX codec stretches the audio. Anyone else experienced this problem and what is the solution?

    Please e-mail me at

    kirk_adams@compuserve.com with any advise.....

Incidentally - I get the same problem if I try to recode the video to 15fps in Adobe Premire 6..... Of course - if I can get the video playing in synch then - the divX does the business and plays it in synch.....

why would I do this - well to squeeze a whole load of video onto a cd rom!

any ideas about a new approach to the 24fps?

    regards

    synch using Virtualdub or synchronizer.

I guess you'll have to manually change audio/video framerate using synchronizer. Be careful, I would recomend you create a back up copy for the file. If not used properly, the program can damage the file.

You could search doom9, divx-digest and vcdhelp.com for other programs

To get the best results, usually (for me), use DIVX 3.11alpha because it is better at dealing with file size and sync.
