    skewed audio

i'm trying to chop off the end of a movie (cuz its too big to fit on a cd) and when i open it with virtual dub, i get this error message:

virtualdub has detected an improper vbr audio encoding in the source avi file and will rewrite the audio header with the standard cbr values during processing for better compatibility. This may introduce up to 12973 ms of skew from the video stream. If this is unacceptable, decompress the *entire* audio stream to an uncompressed wav file and recompress with a constant bitrate encoder. (bitrate: 129.0 +- 9.8 kbps)

i've never run into this before and i looked around for guides on fixing this, but couldn't find one that explained to me what i should do with this...

    can someone help me?
    thanks in advance!

Use Nandub. It'll work without complaining about the same thing. If you're familiar with Virtualdub, Nandub won't present you with anything new or alien.

alright i'll give it a shot

the thing is though, when i did chop off teh end with virtual dub, the audio did get skewed (people's mouths were moving later than the audio)

you're saying nandub won't do that?

i'm just asking so that i don't spend another hour or so with this program only to find out that it'll do the same thing....
