How to split a big video file?

Folks, I just want to split a video file that's too big to fit in a CD (I've got only a CD-R recorder), and divide it into two cd's.
I don't want to convert the file, neither apply new filters or whatever. I just want to split the file.
Which is the easiest way?? Which program to use?

I'm sorry, I forgot to explain a few things.
I want to view the divx in my Playstation2, not in my PC.
I have to record the divx in a CD-R, or two, if I manage to split the file as I am asking you guys here.

I think I found what I wanted: article "Cutting AVI files", in the beginners' session. Thanks.

Sorry for the gap - finished work and am now at home
Are you aware that PS2's need a mod chip for playing recordable media or is that just DVD?

            Sure. My PS2 is modded.
There's also a software called PS2 Reality Media Player, that plays divx ou xvid, mp3 and displays images in jpeg format.
