    Divx encoding

Hello, i've got a question on DIVX encoding:

i'm using the divx5.0 codec (2pass) and Xmpeg4.2a, i was just wondering; the settings for the first pass, should they be the same as those of the second pass or should they just be the max settings???

    Thx a lot Noets

It's always recommeded to keep the same settings for both passes.

The only things you can change will be the ones within the codec. However, DivX5 has so many new options, eg. Deinterlace, etc., that the only things you can change will most probably be the ones found in DivX4, namely bitrate, maximum frame keyframe interval and anything else that does not alter the video in any major ways.
