    Kilo or kilo

in 128kb/s the k size is 1024 or 1000 bits
there's Bitrate Calcualtors which use k and others which use K.
    and as i know K=1024 and k=1000.
which is wrong, which is wright?

Unfortunately, although a kilobyte is correctly 1,024, it appears that somre software (and hard drive manufacturers) have taken it upon themselves to redefine a kilobyte as 1,000 bytes. The uppercase and lowercase "K"/"k" are not necessarily indicative of the size used.
