Here's my problem:
I have loaded an old movie (not encrypted) from the VCR to the HDD.
From there instead of the title I have entered, the filename is a string of over 20 digits with the file extension ".mpg"
I have used the application "VSO DivXTo DVD" to convert the mpg to ".VOB" files.
Now here's the frustrating part:
It takes about 1:15 hrs. to convert. When it comes down to the last 5 seconds, the program doesn't shut off but from the 5 seconds point goes on for another 1 hour, while the timer remains at the 5 seconds mark.
After a while I finally get the message that the conversion is complete.
The movie file is then converted and has 12 .VOB files. I have been told that there should only be 10 .VOB files.
Is it maybe because it's a VHS movie that has never been reworked to DVD?
At this point DVDD or DVD Shrink or even Nero does not recognise the files.
I'm getting the "Failed to open file (it's on the HDD) Overlapped I/O operation in progress"...
Has anybody had this problem????
I have re-done the same proceedure a number of times and made various changes in "preferences" with always the same results and I can't go on from there.
It's sooo frustrating!
Got any ideas?
I'm grateful for any ideas/suggestions you have.
