VirtualDub newbie needs help!

Ok, I feel like a complete idiot but I can't figure out how to start the conversion in VirtualDub. I have captured some video (composite) from my VCR and I want to convert it to DivX to make a smaller file. I have the AVI opened and the DivX 5.0 codec selected. How do I start the conversion process?

File menu, Save as AVI, then pick a file name and go for it. Well actually go for a long lunch (or dinner) as it takes a while.

You did pick an audio codec too ??? No of course you did

Make sure you have the video and audio set to Full Processing Mode too.

Of course I picked an audio codec (yeah, right). Good thing you mentioned that! Ok, I'm on my way DivXville.
