please help me

hello all
i'm having trouble with a movie that is in a divx format.
can someone please explain how to make the .divx into a mpg
i tryed tmpgenc and FlasK also tryed just burnning it and letting
nero burner do it for me but with all of the above i get errors ?
the movie plays fine on Windows Media Player so it not the movie

Have you tried using Nero5.5 to do the job of encoding and then burning the VCD disc already? The option is available via the wizard.

What sort of error did you get?

just keeps saying it can't open the file ?

well not sure what happen but after rebooting my system tmpgenc is working fine so thanks again all for your help.
