Vdub audio error

i have this nice divx of scary movie 2, only problem ; the audio is not sync.
so i launched virtual dub and loaded in the file.
virtual dub directly notify's me about the audio problem in a popup box, saying it's a VBR problem.
but when i made up a new file ( codecs all ok) i get the error that the format of the audio is not the same as the original, what is wrong?

Here's what you should do:

1. Open video in nandub (It does not complain about VBR MP3)
2. Set both Video and Audio to Direct Stream Copy
3. Under the audio tab, go to the interleave option and change the "Delay Audio By" setting so that the audio can match the video. A few tries will be required until you get the desired result
4. Save as .AVI and give a name to the new file
