Divx 3.11 note!

I've currently installed Divx 4 and it works great. I've been reading though that Gnot combined with Nandub and Divx 3.11 should give better quality. Is it possible to have both codecs installed at the same time?

I tried 3.11 before 4 and when I started Vdub I got a message telling me that the codec was "hacked" and basicly that my computer may get fried! What is that about? As I've understood it there isn't a "legit" 3.11. Am I right?

DIVX 3.11alpha is illegal, it is hacked but safe to use (in terms of not wrecking your machine)

yes, u can have DIVX 3.11alpha and v4 at the same time.

DIVX 3.11alpha produces better quality and low low file size than DIVX v4 and 5!!
