    Grainy Cartoons and DVD Extras

On Clerks (animated) the divx output is terribly grainy. As is the output on most DVD extra feautures. My bitrate doesn't seem to effect it. not at 800 and not at 8000. Im using 1 pass Divx 5.01 Flaskmpeg XIS 3.0 Never had any other problems, but Clerks (animated) looks like shit.

Any Help? What about the Basic Deinterlace on the Divx 5.01 options? Will it help? At what threshold percentage?

Can you post a shot of the DivX output here?

BTW, is the DVD itself good, as in not grainy? Is it an NTSC or PAL DVD?

I cant seem to get a screen shot out it. It is NTSC and the DVD is perfect. When the characters move there is a drag in their motion that leaves many black lines for a few frames. Anything that moves quickly gets sort of blurry.

If you are using a deinterlacer, make sure that the thresold values is not set to too low a value and that Blend mode is not selected (This will guarantee ghosting effects). Otherwise, it may be time for you to use vd's smart deinterlacer or the like, which subsequently means it is time for you to use other methods. Better methods.
