    Gknot ==> VirtualDub

    i'm testing a new technique out. I was wondering if it is ok to resize in Gknot and use IVTC when saving the project to .avs, which can be used in Vdub/Nandub to encode?

    Absolutly, thats the way I have been dooing divx5 encoding with vdub. And M$MP4v2 encodes in nandub.

    When you have saved the avs you can shutdown Gknot (unless you still want to encode the audio in GKnot).

    Then you can open the avs file in vdub/nandub, and manually configure that.

    Ofcause this is nolonger nessesary if you use divx5 with Gknot 0.25 which was released yesterday this makes encoding endcredits at lower quality with divx5 so much easier

      ok, so that would mean if i choose 'fast deinterlacing' when saving it to avs, i wont need to apply a deinterlacing filter?

      also where do i get Gknot 0.25 from?

      Thanx a lot
      keep it up

        Yes, I think it's a very bad idear to applying any ivtc or deinterlace filter in vdub/nandub if you have done any resizeing in GKnot. ivtc and deinterlace should always be preformed before you resize.

        Hmmm, aparently the official page has yet to be updated.
        There is a link in the 18/5 news update at www.doom9.org

        BTW. GKnot 0.25 uses decomb for ivtc an deinterlace, the guides at doom9's has been updated to account for this, rereading them might be a good idear.
