My ripped Divx wont load on Virtualdub

Hello Sir,
I just recently copied a divx movie from the CD onto my hard disk and tried it to cut and do some research but the problem is that it wont load and gives error that unexpected end of file or something. Please tell where have I gone wrong. I can see the movie through other moviepayer but cant through the virtual dub.
Even ifilmedit can view the .Avi but cant record the selected portion.

You probably have to change the "Attributes" of the hard drive version from "Read Only" to "Archive". To do this, right click on the filename and select "Properties". Uncheck "Read Only" and check "Archive".
