Avi file has na audio

Hi all,
i have a problem encoding DVD to divx on my windows xp box. I use flaskmpger 0.594, dix 3.11 for encoding and lame mp3 codecs.

The movie is encoded ok (no errors reported on flask) but when i play it it has no sound. Windows properties report that the file has sound, as specified in the flaskmpeg (stereo, 128 kbit).

i was using the same setup before installing xp, with windows 98 and it was working fine.

Any ideas, suggestions?

Try using Radium MP3 instead of LameMP3. Also, make sure that Flask processes the audio inthe Global Project Options and that an MP3 compressor has been selected prior to commencing.

use an audio codec that apperas, so you can see the name as well as highlighting it. Cos some codecs can be highlighted but thier name is not displayed.

I'm not that familar with flask (havent used it since..) but if the audio can be left as ac3 or wav, separetly, you can then do either of the following:

1) mux in Nandub (use full precsiing mode in 4 audio, and choose the apporiate codec)

2) encode the wav/ac3 in besweet, thus allowing you 2 check if lame i s working ok. if it is then just mux them..
