Anybody had any success encoding "The Others" multiangle????

I recently ripped "The Others" to my HD and when I opened the IFO file with XMPEG 4.5 I found out it was a multiangle movie......It gave me about 6 different angles to choose from so I selected the first one listed and previewed it......It looked like crap!!!!.....The movie had tiny little squares in it.......Anyway, I have only been encoding movies for about a month and this is the first multiangle movie I have encountered.......How do I go about encoding it correctly????

The other's was kind of sketchy....I used a two-pass VBR with the hacked slow-motion 3.11a codec. The volume was so low that I had to normalize (two-pass) the audio which helped a little. The movie itself when played consumes more CPU cycles than any other divx i've encoded. Maybe it has something to do with that multi-angle thing. I never looked at the IFO file. I just used smartripper and Vidomi to encode.
