Buffer Problems with 2.02GB WAV (3hour film)

I am currently converting a 3 hour film to divx.
Once converting the AC3 to wav, i am unable to play or even use virtdub to combine to video and audio.

Most players and systems don't work with wav-files bigger than 2 GB. Next time you should directly convert the ac3 to mp3.
One free program that can handle >2GB-wav-files is Winamp. You can use the disc-writing-plugin to save the wav as mp3. Some wav-editors can do that too, but most of them load the whole file in the memory which can cause problams on older/weaker computers.
