    Some questions about NTSC

    Hello!

I'm working on my first encoding of an NTSC source. Have only done PAL before. Ofcourse with great quality so no probs on that part.

The movie is T2: Special Edition. When I look at the preview in DVD2AVI it's shifting between Film at about 65% asnd NTSC very varieting procentage.

What should I use to deinterlace this movie?
As I understand it you should only use IVTC/force film with pure FILM material, or am I wrong?

    Please help me.

IVTC is for originally-FILM material that has been converted to NTSC (3:2 pulldown material).

Its easy, press f5 and look at it with your naked eye. If you actually see that its interlaced, press esc. then select forced film and press f5 again. If it goes away, youre done, save the project. If it doesnt, deselect force film, and save the project, youll use IVTC to remove the interlaced frames later.
