    minor problem with stuttering

I'm having minor problems with stuttering, for the most part in most scenes, it's not evident, but in scenes that involve panning it's notieceable, it's not horrible but just enough to be noticeable. I remember reading somewhere that turning off smooth frame something or other, don't remember, would help, but can find no such option in DivX config.
    What can I do to m-m-minimize stut-ter-tering?

What kind of stuttering are we talking about ? (how frequent how fast)

Are you encoding NTSC DVD's at 29.97 fps ?.

      stuttering

While watching, the video pauses for a microsecond, then continues. It's barely barely perceptable most of the time. It's mostly perceptable in scenes that have panning in it. In the scene, the camera is panning from right to left, as it does so, it pauses for a micro second then continues and repeats, until the panning stops.

I have a high-end PC, 1.64 PIV, with high speed GeForce4 video card, so it can't be my specs.

This doesn't answer any of my questions.

Does that occur with a single movie or with others as well?

I can't find any kind of option, do you mean in DivX config options?

the "stuttering" or pausing comes about every 1 or 2 secs, and lasts for about 1/10 of a second then continues. It's usually only noticeable in scenes with panning in them.
