Problem decoding DIVX4 file
Here's the problem. I recently reinstalled everything to my PC and I had to return my DIVX decoders.
First, I installed DivX 3.11 and then 4 and 5.
And other formats seem to work fine, but now I've found one video file which is apparently DivX4 file.
The details are here:
480 x 384, 24 bits, 228837 pictures , 23.976 pictures/s, 79 kbps, DIVXMPG4 V3
The interesting thing is that there is "Preview" in WMP and I can watch the movie there with sound. When I try to open the file, it says "No filters found to render the stream" which I suppose mean that there's some problem with the decoder.
So I downloaded DivX 4 and installed it again. It gone well.
When I go to Control Panel and see "multimedia" and tab "Devices" there's following decoders installed. Is this correct?
DivX
MPEG-4 Video Codec (Fast-Motion)
DivX MPEG-4 Video Codec (Low-Motion)
DivX 5.0 Codec
Mm. What should I do? Reinstall each codec?
Why there isn't 3.11 Codec anymore?
