Not one single reply to my previous post, so it must be my fault. Let's try again, and keep it simple:

What player do I have to take??

What I want: Play a movie "over full screen", which means displaying only the center 80% or so of the movie, having the left and right 10% off the screen.

The DIVX player can't do it (displays only the LEFT 80%), and Windows MediaPlayer is choppy. In addition I would enjoy this feature while having black background on the top and bottom.

Any ideas?

Here your solution, v2rahn:

download BSPlayer 0.85 from http://www.bsplay.com
and load your divx movie into the player.

- Start the movie
- go to fullscreen mode by pressing "F"
- right click the mouse and select "Custom Panscan"
- slide the bar until you got the view you wanted
