Hi,
I've watched several Divx files on my pc just fine. I can't think of anything I've installed that would mess up the codecs or media player. However, using windows media player or the freeware player "the playa" I get the following problem.
The vid may or may not start out normal but within a few seconds it about 3/4 of the vid stops showing and I can only see approx. the upper quarter of the "screen". The part I can see seems to be progressing normally but the rest of what _should_ be there is just black.
I've tried a couple of different files including ones I've watched before. I'm not sure what files require what codecs though. I know I have 3.11 installed and 4.12.
Any ideas what would cause this?
Thanks,
Randy
EDIT - Well, I just updated to the "latest" DivX 4.x released Dec. 21 I think it was, and now things appear to be playing back correctly! Hopefully the problem is solved.
