    Avi's play too fast all of a sudden

    Something has gone horribly wrong on my machine. I've successfully played all kinds of movies with all kinds of codecs, until a few days ago, then all of a sudden, some movies have started to run four times too fast, in all players, all kinds of codecs.

    Very bizarre, happened sometime after I installed a new WinOnTv tv-pci card and Intervideo WinDVR trial, and updated DirectX to 8.1. Some avi files play beautifully, but others run amok, 75 fps etc.

    I've tried to reinstall all codecs, divx 5, xvid etc, and view with different players, but nothing helps.

    Anyone have any ideas?

      Problem solved, though I'm not sure exactly what did it. I removed or uninstalled everything I had installed during the past few days, reinstalled all codecs and filter packs, and now it works ok -- but now there are no drivers or software for the tv-card. Oh well, can't have everything. :-|

          DirectX "likes" to be installed after ALL drivers...
