No audio in AVI

[Beginner]

Please help!! I am new to all of this and I have downloaded a movie from kazaa and I have figured out how to play it by downloading div x pro but it does not give me any sound. I have read the positngs on some audio issues but I really need someone kind enough to walk me through what I need to do.
