I've been browsing around the net trying to figure out how the Windows XP Autoplay feature works. What I need is a way to add the old Windows Media player to the Autoplay list so that when I insert a CD with a movie on it, it will automatically open the movie file with Windows Media Player(the old one) and play it in fullscreen...
I found the registry keys to use, but I can't figure out how to register a new handler for the videos so it automatically loads the movie and plays it fullscreen...
Does any of you guys out there know how to make it work?
I know it can be done by adding an autorun.inf file on the movie CD but that doesn't solve my problem since none of the CD's have this file on them...
Anyways... I anyone wanna give it a try, check out the following link. It would be cool to figure this one out.
