data file error

when i try to play an XVID divx file that i downloaded it starts up fine but when i try to click to the later segments it says data format invalid or sopmething like that. i open it up in virtual dub and this is the error i get when i open the file(in the attached jpeg)

then i tried to direct stream copy and saving it as avi and i get another error message somehwere 1/3 of the way through. the jpeg is attached in the next message

As indicated in the first attachment, the .avi contains VBR Mp3 which VDub cannot handle.
Try NanDub instead.

doesnt work

when i try direct stream copy under nandub i get an audio error as well. i picked avi audio for the audio. any suggestions on how to fix this file?

Have you tried outputting the audiostream?
In NanDub (Audio to Direct Stream Copy) File--->Save WAV...(The output will be mp3.Rename extension)
