    Poppy sound upon playback

Having read through threads and AC3 comments, I still need to bring forth this problem. Ever since installing the Tsunami pack I have been able to get proper sound from all .avi's downloads. This, however, I have yet to encounter until now.

It's an avi movie with great video quality, but the audio portion is "poppy" and it seems to be slightly out of synch. On nearly every sound there is an accompanying "pop."

I ran the file through GSpot and it states that "AC3 Dolby Labs, Inc. is not installed" and that to get ANY sound there was a mixing of..... (what was it??) and Morgan's Stream filters. AC3 is included in Tsunami, but I get this error.

It's possible that maybe the downloaded file is bad? Yet so many users are sharing it (Insomnia cd1and2.avi)??

    What you think? Thanks.

Other than stating the obvious (You get what you "pay" for when you download other people's work, rather than creating your own), I'd suggest that you extract the audiostream as a .WAV audio file and attempt to use an audio editing program such as GoldWave or CoolEdit to filter out the popping sounds...
