When I play movies, most movies, doesn't really matter if the audio is DivX, mp3, OGG, I get a distortion. Mainly on the letter "s" (90% och the distortion occur when someone says "s" and 8% on the letter "t"). It doesn't matter what player I use, WMP, BSPlayer..
After looking throug several forums I found a thread saying that it may be a codec problem, I belive it is because when I extract the audio and open it with Soundforge it has no distortion whatsoever and it sounds alot clearer to.
I uninstalled every codec I had and only re-installed the ones that I really needed to play one file, DivX 5.0.3 and OGG Vorbis (trought Kazaa Lite codec pack). Is that wrong? Should I use Nimo instead? Or is it just time to format and re-install Windows?
