I'm not sure if this is the right forum, but I know this place has a lot of bright people that know a lot about video. I have a bit of a unique inquiry which I'm not sure anyone will be able to answer. I've got two computers halfway across the world that each have an identical DiVX-encoded AVI. I need these files to playback at the exact same time, completely synchronized, without re-streaming the video from one computer to another. I was wondering if it were possible to somehow use media controls to synchronize based on timecode or something like that. It could even be as simple as issuing a control command to an AVI player to start a movie. Has software like this already been developed somewhere? If not, could someone point me in the right direction on where I might go to build such software? Thanx.
