image reversed when playing with subs

I am very new at this .srt subtitles. I ussually playback movies with the vlc player, but for some reason it wont display the subtitles. I downloaded other two programs media core and ac3 viewer (?). With this programs I see the subtitles, but the image is reversed and flipped over!

any suggestions please?

I would not use the videolanclient player to play my videos with
*.srt subtitles.

I can also not answer your questions about the mediacore
or AC3 viewer since I never tried them.

but I might give you a suggestion for players I use since I watch alot subtitled movies.

Use either the BS Player or the MV2 player.
both players are freeware (and really good ones!!) and can be obtained at the softwaresection of this site.

( OPTIONAL!

for a good codec pack to use with either of that players
go to Uncas site and try to get the tsunami codec and filter pack
and if you are not sure which codecs to install of those packs
use the small codec pack)
