Even with all of the stickied info, still no luck... please help.

I'll be the first to admit I'm a total newbie to all of this... After reading the stickies I downloaded serveral programs the Nimo pack, ffdshow, gspot, and the newest divx from www.divx.com.

I also looked over the stickes for fake files... I'm unsure if my file (files actually) are fake. The frame rate seems in the right place. I have three movies in this similar format that I can't get to play correctly.

This is what gspot had to say about one of the files.

What I also don't understand is when I install Nimo or FFDShow do these programs just do what they need to do without being activated? I don't see a exe for ffdshow other then the config.

as I read it.......14 kb/s is like nothing this is propably a fake
a normal video even with no audio , having that length should have
    a videostream of at least 669 kbits/s

the gspot also shows that there is no audio????

    for using ffd show.....
get the latest alpha version of this site.

it has a configuring window during setup or in that folder where it was installed to.
ther you can define what kind of codecs should be decoded by ffdshow.

go here and download it ...read also the recommended articles.
