    CRC error during CD playback

When I first got the movie it played fine. I put it on CD and had it for months. Now i get a CRC error (cyndrilic redundency check) ....or whatever its called. I cant copy the movie to harddrive either becuase of that error. I used VirtualDub (froze), I installed tsunami mini pack, got all the divx codecs, got antifreeze 0.4, and the latest detonator driver with my GeForce4 TI 4200. I tried 2 different computers and got the same result. I tried to run VD-mp3-freeze, but the program even freezes and wont give a log to look at.

    Can anyone help me plz?

    Thanks

CRC error is caused by scratches/food/dirty cds........try cleaning them first and see if this error is fixed.

Let me know how you go....

I must have cleaned a million times. It surely doesnt have any food or dirt on it. It has some minor minor scratches. Im assuming that this is just a case of poor ass CD's? Use them a couple times, store it, then use it 3 months later and it doesnt work. Any ideas for scratch removing? I tried Dr. Disc or whatever its called, and either I'm dumb as crap or it sucks. Any response will be great

If CD's are the case, dont use X-spin

possibly using toothpaste will remove stickyness/etc. And then apply something like a small cleaning solution to remove.

As for the scratches hmmmmmmm im sure there is something but cannot think of something at present. Sorry man
