The files that activate my browser, help needed!

Hi, can someone help me out?

I got some nagging prob with certain video files. These files will play just fine, except that it will somehow activate my I.E browser and try to connect to certain website whenever it start playing or when it ended. How do you tackle this? Can we remove this function or something?

these are wmv (windows media video) files, which after/during playback may connect to a website site, for example, video author's page - nothing to be afraid of
