    SPDIF output doesn't work

I recently bought a SB Live! 5.1 DIGITAL card for my computer.

The intention was to connect it to the home theatre system via the digital out.
I bought a minijack-to-RCA cable and connected between my SPDIF output from my SB Live into the digital coaxial input of my amplifier .

Still doesn't work, amplifier is properly configured to receive Automatic AC3 sound or DTS, and all the software is configured to the specs as creative mentions! It just doesn't make any sound at all..?!

I now hooked up my PC with the analog stereo output and this works fine... but just stereo!

So how the hell can I get this thing working at all?!!?

PS: I tried updating with the driver pack (LiveDrvUni-Pack(ENG).exe \ HotFix \ AC3 Fix), but doring the installation a warning pops up saying that the system can't find my SB in my computer ?!?! although I hear perfectly in my PC Speackers.

    my amplifier is Yamaha HTR-5540.

anybody can help me please ???

I think this is not the right place for posting such things.

Have you tried to disble all outputs from your sound card such as
mic,wav etc.Enable spdif only and try again.
