Video Choppy & Audio Out of Sync

I downloaded this show from here.

Along with videos like it, the video's often out of sync with the video.

A friend who knows his stuff told me to download codecs and new video players to play it and instead of it being just out of sync with minor frame rate problems... now it plays one frame every 9 seconds or so and the audio is out of sync.. not to mention the subtitles.

Step by step.

What do I do?

I'm going to link this back to my forum so that others in the future can look to this for instruction.
