My Divx player, (101b10) just expired. I got a message to go to http://mac.divx.st for an update but the new player doesn't install, nor does just putting the codec in the Quicktime Extensions folder seem to allow me to play my .avi>.mov files.
I just get a white screen. If I re-run Divx doctor on an exixting avi file, I can hear sound on the resulting .mov file--there's no picture.
I have a mac G3, running OS 8.6. I've had no real trouble playing anything but .wmv files using Mediaplayer 6.3 and the old Divx player. Is there just someplace where I can download another, un-expired, Divx player?
