Sound but no visual in mp6.4 when playing avi and divx. HELP!!

I have mp 6.4 and have downloaded 3.11 alpha and installed it but still I cant watch Avi´s or Divx. Mp tries to download a codec from microsoft but it can still not play the movie - only sound What can I do??

Install MicroDVD

There are many things that could be wrong. You may need the 4.12 codec instead of the 3.11. However, I have found that it is far easier to simply play all of my DivX using MicroDVD. It never has the problem of wanting to upgrade itself via Windows Update!

Did you run the Run Me First.bat after installing the 3.11 codec?
