    playback - vertical stripe

    Hi everyone,

I am new here and I have got a question:
Whenever I play a divx-file, I notice a vertical stripe on the right edge of the playback field. This strip is not visible when the brightness is set to default (50), but when I want to turn it brighter or darker, I can see this stripe. "Behind" this stripe, the picture is still visible though, just with another grade of brightness. Sometimes there is even a noticable frame around the whole picture. This problem did not occur until about two weeks ago. I tried even reinstalling the codecs, but with no effect. And another question: Is it bad to habe two codecs installed at once, e.g. 4.12 and 5.01? When playing an older file, the quality and performance without the 4.12 was very bad, so I installed it additionally to 5.01.
I would be thankful for any advice.

This is a know bug in divx5.0.1.
The problem is that the playback filter does'nt respect brightness/contrast settings in a part of the frame.
