Playing DivX's on game consoles

I have heard that there is a way to play DivX's on game consoles such as a dreamcast if they're burned a certain way. But in the few times that I tried it, it didnt work right. I was wonderin if anybody had a program for it or a website to go to. If this works, I'll stop making vcds and invest $50 in a Dreamcast.

Regarding playing divx movies on a dreamcast, it looks like it is possible, look here:

Hope it helps. First one looks more advanced but seems like the resolution can't be that high but I suspect that's to do with TV's not supporting that higher screen resolutions.

I might have to try it some time, with those recomendations about encoding, the files should be reasnobaly small.
