    Jerky playback on CD

I'm having a few problems with jerky playback when I transfer my video files to CD. They play fine on my harddisk. I gather this is to do with the data rates, but I have changed the value of this numerous times, but it seems to make little difference. Any ideas on how to make the playback smoother?

Well I'm trying it on various machines, my aim is to get it to run smoothley on as many as possible. One thing I have just tried is compressing without the audio and this has corrected the problem. What is th ebest way to get it to work with audio?

Have you tried setting the post-processing to Zero.....through whatever player you're using.....Other than that, maybe one of your machines doesn't have the MP3 Codec installed. ??

Your cd drive probably can't "handle" the divx very well. I would recommend transferring the file back to your harddrive should you want to play it.

In the meantime, this may help (but I doubt this is a system issue):

                reduce colour to 16 bit
                and area to 640x480
                use GDIVX or Yahooplayer
