Frustrated: Referenced Mem Errors with DIVX 5.0!

OK I have to admit I am a partial newb. I only started encoding files in DIVX 4 a little while ago and when I started everything went great but now with DIVX 5.0 I can't even get decent playback! Every time I run "I am Sam" or "SHallow Hal" my divx program freezes with this message:

The instruction at "0x00685016" referenced mem at 0x0000000 The mem could not be written. SOmetimes I get a similar message but it errors on could not be read. Its really frustrating PLEASE HELP!

Get the newest drivers for you graphics card and mother board.
And install DirectX8.

Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
