What files are on each disc for a two-CD movie?

I am using microDVD INI editor to create a 2-disc movie with trailers and special features. The instructions I am following doesn't indicate what files go on which disc. My assumption is:

    Disc One:
    at the root is MDVD.INI
folder [menus] contains stills for the menus
    folder [movie] contains movie1

    Disc Two:
    folder [movie] contains movie2
    folder [other] trailers, specials, etc.

    Is the above assumption okay?

Also, since the INI wizard keeps crashing or giving errors, I have written out the file by hand. So far I have included the necessary code to play movie1, including all chapter references, as links from menu pages.

From my HD, the INI plays movie1, with access to it's chapters, then automatically picks up movie2 (though no chapters have been set for it yet). I am happy.

Before I burn CDs, I want to be sure I have everything right, so what is the next step for the INI file so that I can access the stuff on disc2 via the menus? How is disc2 recognized?

Also, I have 2 CD-ROMs on my computer, but if I only have 1 CD-ROM drive, will microDVD automatically say PLEASE INSERT DISC2 when applicable, or do I need to add this in the INI file somewhere? I want to be sure it will work under both conditions

    Thanks a lot!!

All menuefiles (video/audio/pictures) must be on both discs in the same folder. The ini-file must also be on both discs, but you have to adjust the value for "CDNumber=X" in every file. If you don't need menues and only want to use multiple audio, subtitles and more than one disc you should better use BSPlayer which also works with ini-files.

I did use the wizard to setup my initial INI file, then edited it as needed by hand. But, although I indicated 2 CDs, the wizard only produced 1 INI file, and that 1 file shows CDNumber=2. Does that mean it is the INI of the second disc?? If so, do I make a copy of the INI for the first disc and just change CDNumber=1? Should the ID= field stay the same for both INI files?

Sorry to seem so ignorant, but the process is not as intuitive as I hoped, and I really don't want to waste 2 CDs if I get it wrong.

      Thanks.

ID=... should be the same on both discs. The ini on cd 1 should contain "CDNumber=1" and the ini on cd 2 should contain "CDNumber=2". But why don't you read the documentaition.html???
