Copyright protection: How far will Sony go?

I think someone maybe having us on you would think at least one of us would be infected but everyone seems to be clean i reckon someone is sat there laughing their tities off at us all checking are pc,s for something that is not there if they are then its a fantastic wind up and they deserve 100 rep points

As a Sony engineer/technician, I would not have a clue as to what Sony Pictures does on their DVD's. Completely different division of Sony that I work for.

However, it is quite funny in a sense. But I would take a good guess that Microsoft has had folks running back and forth with patches and updates plenty of times during the life of the pc. Too many IMO.

Perhaps the MPEG group and Hollywood could follow the RIAA recommendation and implementation of their copy scheme. Allowing only one direct digital copy and no further copies from the copy, and the machine recognize that the original had already been copied once and prevent any further copies. Most CD audio recorders with dual wells do this. Why not DVD recorders and burners for PC?

Oh well, perhaps when blu-ray is common place things will change for the better.

why dont they do like vhs did. start lowering prices and people will buy there own.. people download mp3's because it"BAD" and because cd's are so damn expensive. I have to admit i don't buy as many cd's anymore. Expecially sony. I'm not to fond of them right now. I think people should be able to back up their own dvd, cd, software. PERIOD.

No kidding why would sony target the soft rock easy listening adult contemperary crowd aren't they the ones who actually buy CD's seems as if they should worry about the music kids are listening to.

The response I got by running the test you mentioned was neither of the two.
Instead, an Ms-Dos box appears and it says, "'sc' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
